The WPRR Museum at Portola has a
program where you can
run one of several
locomotives for an
hour under the supervision of a qualified engineer. This little guy is probably
one of the
youngest participants the museum has ever had. This is one of those
shots that
sometimes
you just can't resist. The locomotive in use was Western Pacific
917D. Both he and his
older
brother did quite well at operating the unit. I do know who he is but
am not at
liberty to publish
his name at the request of his grandparents.
